The Maple Lake boys basketball team improved its record to 5-9 overall and 3-3 in Central Minnesota Conference standings by defeating Paynesville, 68-54, Thursday, Jan. 26, in conference action.
The Irish went on the road to face the Bulldogs.
Stymied by cold shooting the Irish couldn’t find the bottom of the basket that first half, allowing the Bulldogs to pull away by as many as seven points.
Maple Lake clawed its way back to get within one. The score was 28-27 in Paynesville’s favor at the break.
