Saturday, August 26 named “4-H Day” in Minnesota

At right, Lt. Governor Tina Smith presented a proclamation at the Minnesota State Fair, declaring Saturday, August 26, to be “4-H Day” in the State of Minnesota. The Governor and Lt. Governor’s proclamation recognizes the impact of 4-H on Minnesota kids, including more than 69,000 youth last year alone. Youth in 4-H collaborate with caring adults to lead hands-on projects in areas like science, health, agriculture, citizenship, and the arts. The 4-H experience helps youth to make positive choices, communicate effectively, build connections with peers and adults, and be meaningful contributors to their local and global communities.
