Local 4-H’ers do well at State Fair

Mary Grace O’Sullivan, of Maple Lake, and her prospect steer calf earned top honors at the Minnesota State Fair this summer.
Her calf was chosen as Grand Champion Prospect Steer Calf out of 628 beef cattle shown at the State Fair 4-H Beef Show the first and second day of the fair, Aug. 24-15.
O’Sullivan was among 54 Wright County 4-H’ers to travel to St. Paul to exhibit their livestock projects at the 2017 Minnesota State Fair. To qualify, Wright County 4-H’ers, grades six and up, had to earn top placings at the Wright County Fair.
