Voters say yes to school referendum

Maple Lake residents voted, Tuesday, Nov. 7, for or against a requested referendum and general bond obligation at Maple Lake High School.

Voters approved the Maple Lake School district’s request for a referendum for operations and technology, Tuesday, Nov. 7. A total 506 residents voted yes to question number one that called for an operating levy of $600 per pupil which will generate about $500,000 per year over the next 10 years to keep the school running at the level it is right now. A total of 380 voters marked no. Question number two, which called for a general obligation bond of $950,000 to maintain and update technology earned 515 yes votes and 370 no votes.
