Fire Report

Emergency responses from the volunteer Maple Lake Fire Department and ambulance service were as follows for the past week:

March 12, 6:35 p.m.: Natural gas leak at 331 Ramey Road, Maple Lake (Bob Rolfzen). The valve was shut off until repairs could be made. Twenty firemen responded.

March 13, 3:39 p.m.: Fire alarm at 310 Congress St. West, Maple Lake (Product Technologies, Inc.). Nothing found. Eighteen firemen responded.

March 14, 10:50 a.m.: Fire alarm at Maple Lake Schools, cancelled enroute. Seven firemen responded.

March 16, 1:28 a.m.: Fire alarm at Maple Lake Schools, false alarm. Twenty-one firemen responded.

March 11, 12:52 p.m.: Mother declined ambulatory transportation for patient following a rear-end collision in Maple Lake.

March 15, 1:15 p.m.: Motorcylist John Fryhling IV, 42, Clearwater, MN, was injured in a collision at 12434 County Road 7 NW, Maple Lake. He was transferred to a Gold Cross Ambulance at Clearwater and subsequently taken to the St. Cloud Hospital ER.   Driver of the vehicle apparently was not injured.
