Township elections set for March 11

Elections will take place on Tuesday, March 11, 2003, for area townships. Offices up for election are:

ALBION TOWNSHIP

Supervisor: John Elfmann (incumbent) is running unopposed for a 3-year term. Treasurer: Douglas Triplett (incumbent) is running unopposed for a 2- year term. Voting is from 3 to 8 p.m. at the Albion Town Hall on County Road 6. The annual meeting is scheduled for 8 p.m.

MAPLE LAKE TOWNSHIP

Supervisor: Leland Schut (incumbent) is running unopposed for a 3-year term. Supervisor: James Holt, John Munsterteiger, and Bud Harbinson are running for a 1-year term to fill the remainder of former supervisor Curtis Vokaty’s term. Voting is from noon to 8 p.m. at the Maple Lake Township Hall on County Road 37 and Bishop Avenue. The annual meeting is scheduled for 8 p.m.

CHATHAM TOWNSHIP

Supervisor: Tom Schuveiller (incumbent) is running unopposed for a 3-year term. Treasurer: Frank Fouquette (incumbent) is running unopposed for a 2-year term. Voting is from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Chatham Township Hall at 1695 Eldridge Ave. NW. The annual meeting is scheduled for 8 p.m.

CORINNA TOWNSHIP

Supervisor: John Dearing (incumbent), Donald Lind, and Pete Flatten are running for a 3-year term.Voting is from noon to 8 p.m. at the Corinna Township Hall, 9801 Ireland Ave. NW. The annual meeting is scheduled for 8:15 p.m.

SILVER CREEK TOWNSHIP

Supervisor: Don Dorf (incumbent) is running unopposed for a 3-year term. Supervisor: Jim Kloster is running unopposed for a 3-year term. Voting is from noon to 8 p.m. at the Silver Creek Township Hall, 3827 134 St. NW. The annual meeting will follow the voting.
